MANTA DT 1500 3in Cat Back Exhaust BLACK Tips

A Manta 3-inch cat-back exhaust system for the RAM 1500 DT, finished with black tips. Cat-back means everything from the catalytic converter rearward is replaced — the factory restriction downstream of the cat is gone, and the note changes accordingly.

What a cat-back actually does

The factory exhaust on a 1500 is built to be quiet and cheap to produce, which means restrictive. Opening up the pipework from the cat back reduces backpressure and lets the engine breathe out more freely. On a petrol V8 the more noticeable change is the sound: deeper at idle, harder under load, and without the drone that badly designed systems produce at highway cruise.

Worth knowing

Because this is a cat-back, the catalytic converter stays in place — it does not remove emissions equipment. If you're combining it with a tune or an intake, talk to us about sequencing so you're not paying to have the same work done twice.
